Transforming the suburbs

6 Mar 2019

How can we transform boring, car-dominated suburbs into interesting, walkable neighbourhoods?

That's the question Lynn Richards, CEO of the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) will explore in a one-off workshop in Melbourne on Wednesday 20 March.

A widely recognized smart growth and new urbanism expert, Lynn has been President and CEO of CNU, based in Washington DC, since 2014. Previously, she had a long and distinguished career at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), including Acting Director and Policy Director in the Office of Sustainable Communities.

This small-group event offers a unique opportunity for Australian practitioners to engage with a global expert. Join Lynn Richards as she provides concrete examples of suburban transformation and lessons for Australia.
